The following dataset contains the Biomedical Abbreviation Recognition and Resolution (BARR) track background / Elsevier corpus, aka 'BARR-E background corpus'.
Note that the use of the BARR-E background corpus dataset is restricted to biomedical text mining research and educational purposes in the context of the BARR track of IberEval. This track focuses on abbreviation recognition, resolution and biomedical concept mention/relation detection (see http://temu.inab.org).
In order to access the dataset you have to be registered as a participant of IberEval BARR challenge. This implies that access to the BARR-E background corpus is limited to participants of IberEval challenge through the participant team secure authentication mechanism.
In order to retrieve the BARR-E background corpus you have to agree to the following user agreement terms. You will NOT:
(a) divulge your participant password or credentials to any third party
(b) release, redistribute, resell all or any portion of the BARR-E background corpus to any third party
(c) remove, obscure, or modify in any way any copyright notices or other notices or disclaimers as they appear in the BARR-E background corpus.
(d) immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of the BARR-E background corpus inform the BARR track organizers
